French term

arrété dans le cadre de leurs relations

French to English Law/Patents Finance (general)
Within a legal text of a proceeding taken against a bank, I have the following:

"il est de jurisprudence qu'au cas où les parties ont arrété dans le cadre de leurs relations des modalités ou conditions impliquant dans leur intention ratification, la partie qui se croit lésée est déchue de son droit de critiquer les opérations non contestées endéans les délais fixés conventionnellement"

What I think it is saying is that it is case law that in the case that the parties have ceased, in regards their relation, abiding by the terms or conditions implicated in their intention to ratify, the party that believes itself to have suffered damages is stripped of their right to criticise the non contested transactions within the time period set within the agreement

But I am not sure if "arrété dans le cadre de leurs relations" in this case means that the parties have ceased abiding by the terms and conditions?

Thanks

neutral cc in nyc : maybe "relationship" instead of "relations"? // indeed, I agree with you regarding "agree" ;-) http://www.linguee.fr/francais-anglais/search?source=auto&qu... (see the g8.fr references)

arrété is not with the meaning of stopping. And business relationship is right, as you point out
