This is from a series of notes on various types of light fittings. Can anyone suggest a good translation for this term. For 'encastré' my Harraps suggests the idea of 'flush-fitting' or 'set in' - or even 'built-in' - but I am still not quite sure exactly what these devices are, as I have no picture to go by. I am sure someone out there will have an idea! Thanks in advance.

That's what I would call them if they are light fixtures.
Built-in would be more for ovens, fridges, dishwashers etc.
