French term

diplôme d'enseignement supérieur long

Homework / test French to English Other Education / Pedagogy Studies in France
I don't seem to be able to find an explanation of this term used for a French qualification. I have been told that it is only given by the Grandes Ecoles, what would this be in the regular French uni system, maîtrise, licence, DES.

Traviata, I wanted to give them to you but I didn't want to enter plusieurs possibilit�s into the glossary, so I thought my only option was to decline. If I erase the translation entry and leave the term and hit gloss/add or modify the entry does that work? I can repost you can answer and I'll award you the points if you want?

It's all uni studies including the DEUG, the short one are two year vocational studies. It's listed in the link you gave me Traviata. Thank you very much for your time and effort.

It could be one of many: the term refers to all advanced university or Grandes Écoles studies - usually post-DEUG, therefore licence, capes, masters, DESS, DEA, PhD

For UK contexts, this equivalent would mean beyond first degree status, further than BA, BSc, LLB, bachelor level degrees (3 or 4 years, depending on course, institution etc.) into the realm of second degrees, Masters and beyond.
