Fund management
This is a newsletter from an institutional fund manager (ie, manager of a fund marketed to institutions). "Nous restons sous-pondérés en Europe et préférons résolument les **assurances aux banques** dans une optique risque/potentiel." I understand this to mean that the fund manager's investment strategy prefers corporate debt backed by guarantees placed at banks (within a given risk/benefit range).
Any other thoughts anyone?
Many thanks as always :-)
Please note the expression I'm asking about is "assurances aux banques".

…resolutely prefer insurers to banks…
…from a risk/potential perspective.
(In practice, you will often read of "risk/reward" or "risk/return".)
