In a text describing rose otto essential oil and its use in perfumery:
"C'est un exaltant, idéal en tête des parfums, avec un relais vers le cœur."
I'm not sure if there's a similar equivalent for "exaltant", used as a noun, in English, or whether I should just search for an equivalent (i.e. stimulant?).
Any perfume specialists out there?!

Rose Otto - Rosa damascena
In Greece, the rose was sacred to Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty and fertility. This deep, rich, sweet exquisite fragrance has been valued throughout recorded history for its heart - opening, relaxing, aphrodisiac qualities.
