français term
contre découpage d'ouvrage
français vers anglais
Technique / Génie
Construction / génie civil
there is very limited context to this. It appears in a comprehensive insurance claim where there is damage to a PVC network. Inside a box for "informations complémentaires" (additional information), there appears the following (my translation in parenthesis):
Entrepreneur (Contractor)
Marché - Plomberie (Sector - Plumbing)
Type - **contre découpage d'ouvrage** (Type - ???)
Assureur - Cet intervenant est assuré dans le contexte de la P.U.G. prescrite pour ce chantier
I'm understanding that a plumber has intervened to repair damages "contre" (as opposed to...) what??
Any suggestions

"Type" of insurance is to insure against damages or losses from delays and interruptions in construction.

STILL it would help to have some additional information, like:
who exactly is making the claim?
who has done this "damage to a PVC network"
what is this "PVC network"? Plumbing made of PVC tubing?
what does "P.U.G." stand for? It's got to do with insuring the whole building site, but in which way? OK that bit is clarified P.U.G. = "Police Unique de Chantier"
So far it looks like this plumbing contractor has managed to cut some PVC tubing and has to pay for the damage - or some insurer has to pay.
Voici ce que l'on trouve lorsque l'on recherche "découpage d'ouvrage" (que je ne connais pas :
