French term

Alimenter le code coupon XYZ à blanc

French to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
Does this mean input or fill the value of the coupon code as blank or in white ?

There is no other context so I may have to go back to coder.

Without further context 'à blanc' usually means 'blank'; if it meant the colour, more likely 'en blanc'.

Hard to see what is gojng on here though, as 'alimenter' something with nothing (presumably, the default value anyway?) seems illogical.
Peer comment(s):

agree Daryo : rather "input/set .... "; on the contrary, it's very logical in programming - when you fill a field with "nothing" you know that the value of the field is "no value given yet"; the other usual option is to put a “default value”.

Merci, Daryo ! OK, I don't have a programmer's mindset :-(
agree Sigfrido : A common collocation in this context is "leave blank" . You may then use "leave cupon code blank", which quite parallels "alimenter à blanc".
