Surely it's just the sub-system that deals with the seats? Or seating?

Well, what with electrically-adjustable and heated seats, seatbelt warnings, and perhaps here the rear floor pan lighting only lights up if there is someone sitting in the rear... or it might be to do with the air-con feed, etc.

Well, well, when 2 heads get together ......... Your resoning seems to be getting to me. I thought seating was just too obvious.

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : This is how I read it, the hypen being absent and the "des" being understood. Thus "le sous-système des assises". If that is possible.
