French term

échelle d'attelage

French to English Tech/Engineering Agriculture tractor/machine linkage component
One of the 4 solutions given to hitch a boom mower to a tractor is to use coupling brackets but it is stated that this requires an "échelle d'attelage".

Research indicates that this is on the "tractor side" of the coupling.

One can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/ct92mrz

Are there any Massey Ferguson or John Deere fans in here who can tell me what this part's called?

Many thanks.

Note from asker:
Thanks for your answer. I'll look into this as Vapormatic appears to be a French concern (?). The gobookee.com refers to the same piece of Vapormatic kit.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Not found an awful lot of references to this term (which would indicate that another term is more common), but enough to indicate that it is used by some manufacturers."

hitch bar

Note from asker:
This appears to be a specific type of "hitch bar" (I have "barre d'attelage" elsewhere in the document).
