Exceptionally asking for a term from French into English. Anybody would know how to translate péri-forestier in English? These are zones which are close to forest, like **paturages** etc.. but I cannot find a proper term for it in English.

: It's ambiguous; the reader doesn't know whether "peripheral" still refers to "forests" or to something else altogether.
