French term

CSR

French to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space
This appears in the ruling on a wrongful dismissal case for an aircraft electronics technician.

The captain of the plane in which the technician was working reported that the technician had left the door of the plane open while he was inside.

I’m assuming it’s the captain's incident report, but can anyone clarify what CSR is?

Can anyone help me, please?

Discussion

Ronald van Riet Sep 26, 2013:
200 acronyms There are 200 acronyms CSR on http://www.acronymfinder.com/CSR.html, btu the issue here is that the term "CSR incident" itself is an English term which was used as such in French (and IMHO all over the world). It is some kind of incident and I wouldn;t worry too much about the precise meaning of CSR in this context.

CSR could stand for "corporate security reporting" or something similar

That's my 2 cents...
Kimberly De Haan (asker) Sep 26, 2013:
Ronald, what I'm seeing on Google is CSR incident as in "Corporate Social Responsibility". I don't think that's the case here, as the case focuses on a safety issue (i.e. the technician could have fallen out of the plane) rather than a Corporate Social Responsibility issue.

neutral Tony M : I think you are possibly getting misled by the FR word order: don't forget that in EN it would probably be 'Incident CSR'
