français term

en alpin

français vers anglais Technique / Génie Publicité / relations publiques
Hello

This section is about installation of things like giant outdoor LED screens, banners, billboards etc.

Ce service intègre la pose ***en alpin*** ou en nacelle.

So "nacelle" is a cradle (of a crane) but how do I say "en alpin"?

Using climbing ropes?

Or is there a specific term?

Thanks

nacelles and often called "cherry-pickers", while "en alpin" is the technique used by "cordistes" (rope access technicians)

"rope access service/solution" or "abseilers"

I post two ideas here.

"Rope access service" is an idea I found online, as you will see in link;

"Abseilers" is another possible term I know of from my own recent experience living in a tower block, where guys on ropes where brought in to carry out important works, being literally referred to as professional "abseilers" by the everyday workers and managers.
Example sentence:

"High above the heat and noise of the city, ‘ROPE-ACCESS TECHNICIANS’ perform essential maintenance on the country’s most inaccessible tower blocks and skyscrapers. What’s it like to join them?"

"ROPE ACCESS can provide a cheaper, safer and efficient alternative to more traditional methods such as scaffolding. Here are a few reasons why more businesses are deciding to use rope access solutions."
