French term

collectivités du public address

French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations point of sale communications
I'm really baffled by this. I know what a public address system is, but what could "collectivités du public address" possibly mean? This is from a description of a trade show specializing in point-of-sale communications.

Thanks,
Karen

Hello Karen, glad my contribution was helpful. I took the liberty of editing the final translation to take into account Dusty's and Sylvia's suggestions, which are much more accurate than mine. Regards.

par "décideurs", il faut comprendre ceux qui passent des commandes, donc qui apportent des revenus.
Note from asker:
I see their point and it does make more sense in this context because public address systems don't have much to do with what they're talking about. Thanks for changing the translation.

agree Tony M : I'd say 'the p/a industry'

You're right. It appears at the end of my explanation - so why not in the answer?! Who knows? Actually meant as an explanation of the structure of the sentence and really belongs to the Asker Note box. See note to K so that she can edit the answer. Best.

I agree with Philippe's logic, but I think they are talking about communications agencies/organisations rather than systems and equipment.

agree PFB (X) : Agree entirely. Please see my note to Dusty and Karen.
