French term
convention d'unité de compte
I have researched the whole phrase and it refers to the combining of multiple bank accounts into one single account, as far as I can gather, but I don't know if there is a standard English term for this. The closest I can come that has any decent number of Google hits is "Account Aggregation Agreement" but it seems that this refers to viewing multiple bank accounts on one online web page, rather than consolidating all the accounts into one. No other phrases that I've tried seem to bring back many hits, or else they clearly refer to different sorts of agreement.
This doesn't appear to have anything to do with the standard translation of "unité de compte" as "unit of account" or "accounting unit".
The full sentence is:
"Le compte courant figurant aux conditions particulières sur lequel est utilisée l'ouverture de crédit C.T.C. est exclu de toute convention d'unité de compte existante ou à venir entre le client et [name of bank]."
Thanks in advance for suggestions!

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

unit of account agreement
I think "unité de compte"/"unit of account" is a red herring here, as I said in my question - this refers to an agreement to join up multiple accounts into one, nothing to do with the definition of "unit of account"/"unité de compte". I have found several definitions in French for "convention de unité de compte" - I just don't know what to call it in English! |

why not ? :) it's an agreement the bank wants to be signed and it seems similar to "convention d'unité de compte "
account fungibility agreement
fungibility seems to be used in such a case
