The fuel/air mixture enters the cylinders through the intake valve ports, and burned gases are expelled through the exhaust valve ports. The head of each valve opens and closes these cylinder ports. Intake valve diameter is 38 mm and valve seat is hardened. The exhaust valve diameter is 32 mm, Nimonic type and hardened at the seat. The valves are operated by valves operating mechanism. Valves clearance is automatically compensated by hydraulic tappets.
