I am wondering whether this is the same as 'right cone'. If not, what else?
Context: "Het uiteinde (de richtconus) van de applicator kan worden verwijderd en vervangen door..." It is a part of an equipment used in cosmetics.
Many thanks!

direction cone
I don't think it's about right (or left), simply because richt(en) means aiming or giving direction to.
So, with some Google help, my guess (!) is: direction cone.

directional cone
I think I'd go for 'directional cone' here. See
www.lania.mx/~ccoello/EMOO/brown03.pdf.gz , for example:
"In describing the theory, insight is gained into the structure of the multiobjective problem by analyzing the geometry of the **directional cones** at different stages of learning. Reasons for the apparently rapid rate of initial convergence (but poor rate of final convergence) in typical multi-objective EC algorithms are also described."
or google 'directional cone' in combination with 'geometry'.
An analogy: richtmicrofoon = directional microphone.
