This is from a North African text.
It's in the context of the military. Does it mean cadets?
أعدّ "الكادارات" التي كانت ترغمني على الالتصاق بالتراب. الألم يكاد يقسم ظهري، كم كان العدد؟ ربما خمسين كادارا على الأقل.

In Tunisian dialect we use ''Kadra'' (Plural Kadrat) to refer to the high ranking officials (Normally in Army, Police and governmental institutions.

I think it’s an adapted transliteration of some French word but couldn’t find it neither.
