Arabic to English Art/Literary Computers (general)

Hi everyone,

I know what this means literally, 'to the point of pitying them', but is there another way of saying this? I still don't fully understand it.

Heres' the context:

أما فاطمة فقد محت تفاصيل ذاك اليوم من قلبها، كان لها ذاكرة طفلة، مرحة ومسامحة إلى حد الإشفاق
