Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Affidavit (Ecuador to US)

From a very recent document. I have a feeling this somehow relates to the currency, as it comes after "CUANTÍA", but I'm not sure how. It's not a mistake, either, as far as I can tell, as I have a good photocopy of the original.

Here it is in context:

"ESCRITURA PÚBLICA DE DECLARACION JURAMENTADA
OTORGADA POR:
XXXXX
CUANTIA: INDETERMINADA
***** SY ***** (the asterisks are in the original)

En la ciudad de YYYY, provincia del ZZZZ, República de Ecuador, a los..."
