I think "propelled" (as suggested by MKScott) would also be okay, but launched and projected do not sound as natural to me. I also would not personally use "propelled" here as it seems too intense. If you propelled yourself into someone's arms, they would certainly feel it rather than "see" or "notice" it.

To clarify, it is definitely okay to say you propelled yourself into someone's arms (or into their embrace). But it sounds a bit weird (in my opinion) in this specific sentence since "she" is the one noticing or observing that. If it had been the narrator making this observation about his own actions, then I would not have the same issue.
