Does this refer to 12 noon or 12 midnight?
Many thanks in advance!

12 midnight

This is correct term. Although widely used, it is a wrong term as we do not go into AM till past midnight, ie: 12:01am etc. Actually midnight is the 0:00 hour in the maritime time. 12:00 am is often confused by people with 12 noon

The same applies to 12:00pm which correct term is 12 noon.

Thank you.
