Discussion

Alaa Zeineldine Jun 10, 2006:
For example, you can call a person رحيم كريم غيور مؤمن عزيز but you cannot use رحمن عالم الغيب والشهادة خالق قدوس.
Alaa Zeineldine Jun 10, 2006:
In Islam, there are divine attributes which the Creator made available to His creation, although their manifestation by the Creator is beyond comparison, other attributes are exclusive to the Creator.
The previous is said with all respects to all of course.
We should be careful not to give attributes we normally attribute to the al-Mighty (that are actually names of Allah) to human beings as much as possible. I would think that charitable would be the most appropriate of the answer you have chosen.

the man of good deeds (Zayed Al kheer)

I think it is a good idea to provide explanation of the name then transliteration.
For an English reader, it would be better to tell what this Arabic word refer to.

Regards,

Zaid, the benefactor

The Philanthropist

You can't go wrong with this at all.

Wkipedia says:
A philanthropist is someone who devotes his/her time, money, or effort towards helping others. The label is most often applied to someone who gives large amounts to charity. See also philanthropy.

Note from asker:
Dear Mr. Hassan, it is common in arabic to say about someoneهذا الشخص الكريم though it is a name of Allah. the only forbidden case is with the name (Allah). Anyway, this was used before as indicated in the link that Alaa provided
